         Dr. Sarah Gillings and "Josephine"

Dr. Sarah Gillings
attended the University of Minnesota where she earned her DVM.  After spending six years practicing general medicine for pets, she returned to school and completed her oncology residency at North Carolina State University.  She passed her boards in June and is awaiting publication before being able to use the Diplomate, A.C.V.I.M. Animal Cancer Specialists also employs licensed veterinary technicians, nursing assistants and additional administrative and clerical staff that are here to provide your pet with their specialized knowledge and compassionate care.

Stephanie started working at a veterinary hospital right after high school and enrolled in the pre-vet program at the University of AZ.  Although she changed majors, she decided not to leave the veterinary field altogether and has spent the majority of her life working in various capacities, including equine surgery and emergency medicine.  She began working with Dr. Meleo over ten years ago and enjoys radiation therapy most of all.  She shares her life with her German Shorthair Pointer, Sara-B.

                Sandra with her husband, John

Fifteen years ago, Sandra began her career in veterinary medicine as a receptionist for a specialty practice that included internal medicine, oncology and radiology.  Shortly after Dr. Meleo joined the practice, Sandra began her role as an oncology technician.  She continues to enjoy treating patients in addition to serving as our Office Manager for the last four years.  She has one cat named Newton and enjoys spending time with her husband, her daughter and her two stepchildren.

We are also fortunate enough to have convenient, on site, critical care and emergency services available for our patients 24 hours/day through Animal Critical Care and Emergency Services.  Located in the same building, ACCES employs two internal medicine specialists, a board-certified veterinary surgeon and critical care and emergency veterinarians with the ability to provide services such as ultrasound, oxygen therapy and blood transfusions.  With their help, we can offer the most up-to-date medical support; thereby, tending to our patients' special needs.
